Chrissie Richards
Student Counsellor
I provide a warm and accepting space for you to explore the issues affecting you and gain a deeper understanding of the world around you. As an integrative counsellor, I adapt my approach to suit your unique needs, respecting and valuing you as an individual. I use creative methods to help explore emotions, thoughts and behaviour patterns. I have worked with clients experiencing anger issues, anxiety, depression, grief, stress and traumatic life events.
As a Christian, I understand we are made in God's image and for relationships, yet I recognise that relationships can sometimes be the source of much pain and suffering. Working collaboratively, we can explore past relationships to understand how they impact the here and now. By nurturing self-awareness and providing tools to help build resilience, I can support you on your journey of self-discovery.
I am currently studying for a BA in Counselling at Waverley Abbey College. I am a mother to school-age children, and I bring an array of personal and professional experience as a Family Support Worker and Children’s Pastor to my practice. Outside of counselling, I enjoy reading and expressing myself through art.
